According to the data on violation of Japanese Food Sanitation Law in food exported to Japan from October to December 2021 issued by Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW), Foodmate analyses that in the fourth quarter of 2021, MHLW notified 65 cases of unqualified food exported from China to Japan.
The 65 unqualified foods include grains (21 cases), vegetable products (18 cases), aquatic products (13 cases), beverage (11 cases) and snack foods (2 cases).
In the fourth quarter, the main reasons for Chinese export food that violated the Japanese Food Sanitation Law were: aflatoxin, microbial contamination, and pesticide and veterinary drug residues. The specific statistics are shown in the figure below:
