According to the data on violation of Japanese Food Sanitation Law in food exported to Japan from July to September 2021 issued by Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW), Foodmate analyses that in the third quarter of 2021, MHLW notified 48 cases of unqualified food exported from China to Japan.

The 48 unqualified foods include aquatic products (16 cases), vegetable products (14 cases), grains (5 cases), beverage (5 cases), meat products (3 cases), Snack foods (2 cases), fruit (1 case), food additive (1 case) and health food (1 case).

In the third quarter, the main reasons for Chinese export food that violated the Japanese Food Sanitation Law were: microbial contamination, pesticide and veterinary drug residues, and additives. The specific statistics are shown in the figure below:
