The Singapore Food Agency of (SFA) announced on 19 April 2022 that temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products in the vicinity of the outbreak of avian influenza in the UK has been imposed.
Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 kilometres of affected areas due to the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza outbreak in Suffolk, Devon, Cambridg and Somerset. Poultry products that meet the heat treatment requirements of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
