Singapore has adjusted import restrictions on poultry products from HPAI affected areas of Canada

On 16 August 2022, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced that it has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products from Canada near the outbreak site of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Singapore will impose temporary restrictions on imports of poultry and poultry products within 10 km of the affected areas due to outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in three regions of Canada. Poultry products heat-treated to meet the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) requirements for inactivation of avian influenza viruses will not be affected by the import restrictions.
 
Poultry exported from the affected areas below will continue to be accepted for import if they meet the slaughter and export dates below.Singapore has adjusted import restrictions on poultry products from HPAI affected areas of Canada.
In addition, SFA has lifted import restrictions on poultry products from the following 10 Canadian regions: 

i. Township of Guelph/Eramosa, Centre Wellington, Wellington, ontario(10km)
 
ii. Township of Zorra, South-West Oxford, Oxford, ontario (10km)
 
iii. Township of Woolwich, Woolwich, Waterloo, ontario (10km)
 
iv. Mountain View County, Division No. 6, Alberta (10km)
 
v. Kneehill County, Division No. 5, Alberta (10km)
 
vi. Wetaskiwin County, Wetaskiwin County No. 10, Division No. 11, Alberta(10km)
 
vii. Township of South Glengarry, South Glengarry, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, ontario (10km)
 
viii. Les Sources, Wotton, Asbestos, Québec (10km)
 
ix. Rural Municipality of Montrose No. 315, Montrose No. 315, Division No. 12, Saskatchewan (10km)
 
x. City of Abbotsford, Abbotsford, Fraser Valley, British Columbia (10km)
