This standard replaces GB/T 4789.12-2003 “Microbiological examination of food hygiene - Examination of Clostridium botulinum and botulinus toxin”.

Compared with GB/T 4789.12-2003, the major changes of this standard are as follows:

——the title of the standard has been revised to “National food safety standard Food microbiological examination - Examination of Clotridium botulinum and botulinum toxin”;

——the “PCR identification method” has been added;

——the “Results and Report” has been added;

——the Annex A has been added;
