This standard replaces GB/T 23296.11-2009 “Food contact materials – Determination of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in plastics – Gas chromatography”.

Compared with GB/T 23296.11-2009, the major changes of this standard are as follows:

——the name of this standard has been modified to “National food safety standard - Food contact materials and articles - Determination of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide in plastics”;

——the determination of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide by “headspace gas chromatography-mass spectrometry” has been added.
