This standard replaces GB/T 21928-2008 “Determination of phthalate esters in food plastic packaging materials” and SN/T 2037-2007 “Determination the migration of phthalates in plastic articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs-GC/MS”.

Compared with GB/T 21928-2008 and SN/T 2037-2007, the major changes of this standard are as follows:

——the name of this standard has been modified to “National food safety standard - Food contact materials and articles - Determinations of phthalate esters and migration amount of phthalate esters”;

——the scope of application has been modified;

——the determination method has been modified; 

——the limit of detection has been modified.
