On August 20, 2024, the British Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) issued a notice to revise the format of health certificates for poultry and other products from China.

The announcement will come into effect on December 2, 2024, and the main contents are: Health certificates from certain meat products and processed stomach, bladder and intestines produced in China do not apply to the original GBHC352 certificate format, and a new version of the Chinese Poultry Product Health Certificate (GBHC901 version) will be introduced from December 2, 2024. The certificate certifies that certain meat products from China (including animal fats and minced meat, meat extracts) and processed stomachs, bladders and intestines other than casings have been processed for the associated risks.
