Canada approved maltogenic alpha-amylase from saccharomyces cerevisiae LALL-MA+for use in foods such as bread

On September 6, 2024, Health Canada issued document M-FAA-24-10, proposing to amend the list of permitted food enzymes, and approved maltogenic alpha-amylase from saccharomyces cerevicae LALL-MA+ for use in breads, flours, whole wheat flours and non-standardized bakery products.

 

The amendment is effective from 6 September 2024.
