Argentina to amend plant product production enterprises quality and safety registration regulations

On September 10, 2024, the Argentine National Agri-Food Hygiene and Quality Service proposed to amend the quality and safety registration regulations of plant product production enterprises, and the consultation period was from September 10 to September 23. Main contents:

 

(1) Scope and definition of application, applicable to all packaged, prepared, operated, stored, refrigerated, frozen, crushed, ground, dried, dehydrated fruits, vegetables, edible fungi, spices, etc.;

 

(2) Enterprise registration requirements. The activities provided for in these Regulations must be registered in the National Registry of plant product enterprises, and the registration shall be renewed after the expiration of the period; Enterprises should establish traceability systems and good manufacturing practices (GMP) or agricultural practices (GAP); There should be a quality supervisor; Reporting adverse events as required;

 

(3) Specific registration requirements for various plant products.
