Myanmar Tea Collective Mark (MTC Mark) has been launched in the tea sector for the products and services of the tea industry in Myanmar, according to the Myanmar Tea Growers, Producers and Exporters Association (MTA), the Myanmar media reported.
The launch of the Myanmar Tea Collective Mark was announced at a ceremony held on October 6 at the Chatrium Hotel in Yangon.
According to MTA Secretary U Lin Pyi Tun, the use of the brand mark is intended to indicate that tea products bearing the mark use authentic tea from Myanmar.
The Myanmar Tea Collective Mark is a brand mark associated with tea farmers, tea plantation producers, tea distributors, and all tea and tea-related service providers.
The Tea Collective Mark has been implemented to protect the tea growing sector in Myanmar, which is currently experiencing higher production costs, lower tea revenues and labor scarcity.
