On October 29, 2024, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) released the results of the quality testing of dairy products. From the beginning of January to October 29, 2024, the National Center for Aquatic and Aquaculture Product Safety conducted 348 test studies on 88 batches of milk, butter, cheese, sour cream, various fermented dairy products and dairy dessert samples, and found that two batches of dairy products were detected in violation of four indicators, including:
(1) In a batch of 270 liters of milk, the test found that the fat mass fraction content was illegal, the sensory index (taste) was illegal, and the total level of bacterial contamination was beyond the allowable range;
(2) A batch of 350 kg sour cream added vegetable oil and vegetable fat, as well as fatty acid composition violations, there are signs of product fraud.
