On December 11, 2024, the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) issued Consultation documents No. 1299 and 1300 to revise the standard regulations for the use of food additives, with a comment period ending on February 17, 2025. The main content is to add two new categories of food additives such as acetic acid (glacial acetic acid) in some foods, as shown in the table below.
