South Korea plans to set and modify the residual limits of 137 pesticides such as Napropamide

On December 24, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued Notice No. 2024-585, proposing to amend part of the Codex Alimentarius, the main changes are as follows:


1. Set a new residual limit standard for cadmium in cocoa powder and chocolate.


2. Set new food types and standard specifications of nutritional formula food for patients with cirrhosis.


3. Modify the pathogen requirements of meat easy cooking set.


4. Set and modify the residual limits of 137 pesticides such as Napropamide.


5. Modify some veterinary drug residue limit standards.


6. New setting and modification of general test methods.


The above comments will be solicited until February 24, 2025.
