December 19, 2024 - According to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), on December 18, the European Commission issued Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3163 amending the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2059 on the inclusion of certain goods of plant origin in the list of goods produced and marketed on other global markets. The main amendments are:
(1) The Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2059 is amended in accordance with the Annex to that Implementing Regulation. In the Annex to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2059, goods such as fresh basil and turmeric have been added to the category “goods of non-animal origin”;
(2) The Regulation enters into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Regulation applies from September 2, 2024 onwards.
