Austria published 2024 quality inspection action report on processed cereals, biscuits and dried bread for infants

On 23 December 2024, the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) released its 2024 Action report on the quality of processed cereals, biscuits and dried bread for babies, with the aim of understanding the composition and contamination of processed cereals, biscuits and dried bread for babies. And pollutants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), mycotoxins, pesticides and heavy metals. A total of 52 samples from all over Austria were examined.

 

Among them: 11 samples are unqualified (some samples have multiple unqualified items) : 2 samples do not meet the relevant requirements; The labels of 10 samples were missing part of the declaration content; 2 samples were found to be inconsistent with the nutritional and health claims.
