Unqualified foods came from 31 countries or regions (Taiwan area and Australia each with 14 batches were the most).
The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were: without required certificates or qualified documents (24 batches), inconsistent of goods with documents, illegal food label issues and without quarantine approvals.
Unqualified cosmetics came from Japan, Israel and Indonesia. The rejection reason were without required certificates or qualified documents.
The above mentioned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GAC.
