GAC | Unqualified food Cosmetics in July, 2019 china custom

According to the monthly notice of unqualified foods and cosmetics by GAC, 90 batches of imported foods and 8 batches of imported cosmetics were found unqualified and refused for entry in August, 2019.

Unqualified foods came from 22 countries or regions (US with 28 batches and Japan with 12 batches were the most).


The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were: out of expiry date, inconsistent of goods with documents, food additives issues.

Unqualified cosmetics came from South Korea and Malaysia. The rejection reason were without required certificates or qualified documents and microbial contamination.  

The above mentioned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GAC.
