On 15 September 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture of Chile issued Resolution 5258 amending the Technical Standards for the Determination of Residues and Contaminants in fruit and Vegetable Products. Main revisions:

(1) Approval: List of substrates and analytes for pesticide residues in fruit and vegetable products, code D-ATR-AAT-023; List of substrates and analytes for the analysis of heavy metals in fruit and vegetable products, code D-ATR-AAT-024; List of substrates and analytes for the analysis of mycotoxins in fruit and vegetable products, code D-ATR-AAT-025; Substrate and specific requirements for microbial analysis of fruit and vegetable products, code D-ATR-AAT-060;

(2) The relevant documents approved by Resolution 8741 of 2015 and resolution 7031 of 2016 and its documents shall be repealed;

(3) After the resolution takes effect, the authorized third-party testing institution must complete the modification of the document within 60 days according to the testing method approved in this Resolution.

The resolution shall come into force on the day it is published in the official Gazette.
