New Zealand revises pesticide residue limits for agricultural and veterinary drugs

On September 13, 2022, the Ministry of Primary Industries of New Zealand issued Circular No. 19550, proposing to revise the standard of pesticide and veterinary drug residue limits. The main contents include:

  

(1) New maximum residue limits (MRLs) of 5 agricultural and veterinary drugs including abamectin in some foods;

  

(2) The "vegetable and fruit" crop groups corresponding to Malathion and other two pesticides MRL were revised to keep them consistent with CODEX classification;

  

(3) The maximum residue limit requirements of Azocyclotin and other pesticides were deleted.

 

The revision took effect on September 19, 2022.
