Norway establishes regulations requiring temporary maximum limits for radioactive contamination in food

On 16 September 2022, Circular No. 2022-1214 was published in the Gazette of the Norwegian Government, setting out regulations on the requirements for provisional maximum limits for radioactive contamination in food. The regulation divides the applicable products into key foods (4 categories, including infant food and dairy products) and non-key foods (33 categories, including some vegetables and their products, spices, caviar and cocoa products).

 

The regulation shall take effect as of the date of promulgation.
