The Minister of Finance Avigdor Liberman signed an order on Thursday removing import duties on vegetable oils, sauces, dried fruits, pastries, jams and snacks, the Jerusalem Post reported on September 22, 2022.

Similar to past tariff cuts, removing tariffs on imported food is expected to lower prices for consumers and increase consumption. In addition, the removal of tariffs will increase the variety of products imported into Israel, so that Israeli consumers will be able to enjoy a wider range of choices.
