India has issued an order on the entry of high-risk food at specific ports

On Oct 17, 2022, the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued an order on the entry of high-risk foods at specific ports. To ensure effective monitoring and traceability of imported high-risk foods, FSSAI decided to require milk and dairy products, egg powder, meat and meat products (including poultry, fish and its products), food & baby food used for infant nutrition, nutrition, health products, special dietary foods, probiotics and prebiotics foods, foods for special medical purposes and other high-risk food only by specifying the 61 ports of import, The list of 61 ports that allow imports is detailed in the appendix to the document.
