On November 17, 2022, MERCOSUR/GMC/ RES.N °27/22 issued a notice to expand the scope of use and set corresponding limits for five food additives, including propylene glycol. The amendments will be incorporated into the legal systems of the States Parties (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) by 16 May 2023.
