Russia may adopt electronic veterinary certificate for aquatic products certification

Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision news: On 29 November 2022, a meeting on the certification and circulation of aquatic products was held in Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka, with the participation of central and local officials of the Service, industry associations and representatives of fish product exporters.


Participants proposed to the Service that veterinary certificates be issued electronically through the Russian Export Center "Single Window" (a system designed to provide enterprises with online access to government websites and other services from the exporter's personal account during the export process).


Since 2022, a total of 4,254 batches of aquatic products weighing 106,099.5 tons have been exported from Kamchatka border region and Chukotka autonomous region.
