On December 26, with the release of the National Health Commission of the PRC (NHC) on Printing and Distributing the Overall Plan for the Implementation of "Class B and B Controls" for COVID-19 Infections, the COVID-19 infection was adjusted to "Class B and B Controls". On December 28, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) issued an announcement on its official website stating that starting from January 8, 2023, the ports will cancel monitoring and testing measures targeting COVID-19, such as nucleic acid test, of all imported cold chain food and non-cold chain items.

Long before the customs port announced the cancellation of nucleic acid testing, the wholesale markets in various places have received notices from government departments that it is no longer necessary to provide the "Certificate of Cargo Disinfection" for imported cold chain fruits. On December 16, Guangzhou Jiangyonghui Market Service Management Co., Ltd. issued a notice saying that from now on, imported cold chain fruits can enter the market sales area for trading by providing the "Customs imported Goods Declaration Form" and "Certificate of Inspection and Quarantine for imported Goods" .
