According to the U.S. Federal Register, on January 25, 2023, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Regulation No. 2023-01155, exempting the residue limit of Malic Acid.

According to the regulations, when Malic Acid is used as an inert ingredient (buffer and stabilizer) in growing crops, its residue limit is exempted.

This provision will come into effect on January 25, 2023, and applications for objections or hearing requests must be submitted before March 27, 2023.
