On January 26, 2023, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan (MHLW) issued "Notice 0126 No. 1 of Drug Raw Food Delivery", which lifted the restrictions on promethazine in Chinese clams, triaconazole in carrots, thiamethoxam in garlic stems, and thiamethoxam in potatoes. The order inspection of haloxyfop is replaced by enhanced monitoring and inspection, and the above order inspection items are deleted from Schedule 1 of the imported food order inspection plan for fiscal year 2022.

On the same day, the MHLW issued "Notice 0126 No. 2 of Drug Raw Food Delivery", which included the above inspection items in Schedule 2 of the Enhanced Monitoring and Inspection Plan for imported Food in Fiscal Year 2022, and implemented an enhanced monitoring and inspection with a sampling ratio of 30% for imports.
