A number of cheeses were recalled for possible salmonella contamination

The Italian health Ministry has issued an emergency recall of some cheese products made by the Caseificio Longo company because they may contain salmonella.

 

Caseificio Longo, a Turin-based company, has ordered the recall of several brands of its cheese products due to possible salmonella contamination, the Italian health ministry said Tuesday, Italytoday.com reported. Specific information is as follows:

 

All of the products involved in the recall were manufactured in batches of 1074.


-Terre d 'Italia Tomino del Boscaiolo Cheese, 2 pieces 180g pack, Shelf life 27-28 April 2023;

-Caseificio Longo Tomino del Boscaiolo Cheese, 2pcs 180g pack, Shelf life 27-28 April 2023;

-Tomino del canavese nonno casaro (formaggio a pasta molle con crosta edibile leggermente muffettata), 180g The shelf life is April 29, 2023;

-Caseificio Longo Soft Cheese, 540g and about 1kg, shelf life 27 April 2023;

The Ministry of Health is reminding consumers who have bought the above batch of products not to eat them and to return them to the point of sale.
