On June 1, 2023, the Danish Government Gazette issued Announcement No. 620, amending the regulations on the management of pollutants in food (Executive Order No. 7 of 2022). The main contents are:

1. Added regulations prohibiting the use of pig kidneys with ochratoxin A content exceeding 25ug/kg as food or food raw materials;

2. It is forbidden to mix pig kidneys that meet the limit requirements of ochratoxin A with pig kidneys that do not meet the limit requirements.

The announcement will take effect on July 1, 2023.
