On June 28th, the Customs General Administration of China (GACC) issued Announcement No. 77 of 2023, declaring that imports of Polish fresh blueberries that meet the relevant requirements are now permitted.

Orchards and packaging plants intending to export to China must undergo registration and approval processes. They need to be reviewed and filed by the National Plant Health and Seed Inspection Office representing the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland (referred to as "Polish side"), and approved by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (referred to as "Chinese side"). The registration information should include the name, address, and registration number. Before each export season, the Polish side should provide the Chinese side with a list of registered entities. After the Chinese side reviews and approves the list, it will be published on the official website of the Customs General Administration.

The announcement also specifies the relevant requirements that imported blueberries must comply with, including packaging requirements and plant quarantine certificate requirements.
