SPUTNIK Moscow, August 8, according to the analysis report released by the Russian Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport Center, before 2025, Russia may increase its ice cream exports to China from 896 tons in 2021 to 1900 tons.
Six Russian regions, namely Moscow, Saratov and Omsk oblasts, as well as Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krai, have the greatest potential to increase the export potential of ice cream and dairy products.
China will not be the biggest buyer of Russian ice cream in 2022. Russian ice cream is mainly exported to Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the United States and Belarus.
On May 31, the Agricultural Export Center of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture told the Russian satellite news agency that the trade volume of agricultural products between Russia and China in 2022 increased by 41.8% compared with 2021, reaching $7.034 billion. In 2022, Russian agricultural exports to China increased by 44.5 percent, doubling compared to 2018. In 2022, Russia's imports of agricultural products from China increased by 35.4% compared to 2021.
During his visit to China in May, Russian Prime Minister Alexander Mishustin said that Russia intends to significantly increase the export of agricultural products to China and expand the categories of export products.
