Chile revised the list of imported foods of animal origin requiring only a health certificate

On August 5, 2023, the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture (SAG) issued resolution No. 4781, amending the requirement that only a health certificate be issued to print food of animal origin that may be imported, which came into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

 

Main contents: Amend Resolution No. 7773 of 2021 to expand the list of products of animal origin that can enter Chile only by submitting a health certificate to the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture, adding meat (frogs, reptiles, kangaroos), processed meat products after acidification, cooked meat products, meat products containing a mixture of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, collagen, gelatin, hydrolyzed protein, etc.; Fat from cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry for human consumption.
