On September 13, 2023, the Official Journal of Argentina published joint resolution No. 25/2023 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and the Ministry of Health Quality, amending the Argentine Food Code, which will enter into force 730 days after the publication of the communique, with a transitional period of 365 days after entry into force. The amendments mainly include:
(1) Add the second paragraph of Article 184 "Food containers and utensils that come into contact with food must comply with the identification and labelling requirements in the annex, which are officially registered and form part of this Article";
(2) The annex stipulates the corresponding identification and labeling requirements, including the scope of application, mandatory labeling content, content requirements, format requirement.
