South Korea added new veterinary drug residue standards for imported aquatic products

On November 29, 2023, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued a veterinary drug residue standard alert for imported aquatic products.

 

The main contents are: according to the partial revision of the "Food Standards and Specifications" , the allowable standard of veterinary drug residues in aquatic products has been added, and the detection of "Fenbendazole" (veterinary drug) is required for fish, and the detection standard should be below 0.5mg/kg.

 

The announcement took effect on November 28, 2023.
