The Eurasian Economic Commission meeting held on December 5 approved the “Mandatory Compliance Assessment List of Products in Compliance with the Requirements of the Technical Regulations of the EAEU ‘Technical Regulations on the Safety of Milk and dairy Products ‘”, which is applicable to imported products confirming compliance with technical regulatory measures at the time of import clearance.

The list is prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, taking into account the recommendations of the authorized bodies of the member States of the Eurasian Economic Union, in order to ensure the implementation of the mandatory compliance assessment procedure for products in the field of customs of the Eurasian Economic Union (the procedure for certifying that products comply with the requirements of the technical regulations).

The product list includes 495 commodity codes (in tens) covering 29 dairy groups, including starter cultures and enzyme preparations used in the production of dairy products, whose compliance assessment documents are declarations of conformity. The list applies to foreign trade participants and provides a basis for customs enforcement. The resolution will take effect 30 calendar days after the date of its official publication.
