Alta.ru, 10 January 2024 - The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EurAsEC) has approved amendments to the list of standards used in the technical regulation "Safety of food additives, flavours and processing aids", which will enter into force on 27 February 2024.

The list of standards cited in the technical regulation (recommended standards) has been supplemented with eight standards (five interstate standards of the CIS and three national standards of the Russian Federation), including standards for technical specifications of food additives and enzymes; in the list dealing with the requirements for testing and sampling of products, 53 standards (bases for compliance of products) have been supplemented with standards for methods of determining the content of the main substance components in food additives, Methods for specifying safety indicators for flavours and enzymes and methods for testing the content of food additives in various types of food.
