South Korea recalled packaged meat products with high levels of Staphylococcus aureus

On May 20, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) announced that Staphylococcus aureus was detected in a refrigerated packaged meat product produced and sold by a meat packaging processing company in South Korea, and ordered it to stop selling and recall the product.


In Korea, the standard for Staphylococcus aureus in this type of product is n=5, c=0, m=0/25 g.


Subject to recall: Products with a shelf life marked until July 6, 2024.
