South Korea to set new microbiological standards for food in vending machines

On May 24, the Republic of Korea issued Notice No. 2024-259, which proposes to amend part of the Codex Alimentarius, the main changes are as follows:


1. It is proposed to set new food standards for microorganisms (E. coli and pathogenic bacteria) of food in food vending machines.

 

2. Add 42 kinds of raw materials to the raw materials that can be used in food in [Schedule 1].


The above comments will be solicited until July 23, 2024.
