On May 16, 2024, Poland's Agricultural and Food Quality Inspection Authority issued a news release stating that it will intensify quality inspections of imported agricultural products, mainly as follows: As of May 16, Poland will intensify inspections of agricultural exchanges, especially seasonal and imported products, with the aim of controlling food products of foreign origin and providing consumers with safe food products, as well as controlling imported food products.
The scope of the inspections includes product labeling, country of origin, assessment of accompanying documents, labeling requirements, and laboratory monitoring sampling.
