Russian media Milknews.ru reported on June 17: The head of Russia's Quality Center said in an interview with TASS that China and Russia are carrying out pilot work on mutual recognition of organic products,
as the producers must be certified both in Russia and China when export organic products to China for now, which is costly and detrimental to trade.
The Russian government last year approved a strategy for the development of organic production up to 2030, which includes mutual recognition of organic, the head said. China and Russia have been holding consultations on mutual recognition, including simplifying the certification process within the framework of unified procedures.
At present, the two sides have each selected two producers to participate in the program of mutual recognition of organic products, including mainly livestock and crop products.
