GACC Announcement No. 84 of 2024 (Announcement on Quarantine Requirements for the Import of Table Grapes from Peru)

On July 16, 2024, the General Administration of Customs of China issued Announcement No. 84 of 2024, announcing that from now on, imports of Peruvian table grapes that meet the relevant requirements will be allowed.

 

The orchards, packaging plants, cold storage and cold treatment facilities are subject to examination and approval by the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Irrigation of the Republic of Peru (hereinafter referred to as the Peruvian side) and approval and registration by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese side). Registration information includes name, address and registration number. Before the annual export season, the Peruvian side shall provide the Chinese side with a list of enterprises, which shall be published on the website of the General Administration of Customs of China after being approved for registration by the Chinese side.

 

At the same time, the announcement also detailed the import needs to meet the relevant requirements, including inspection and quarantine certificate requirements, packaging requirements.
