On 3rd May, China Natio
nal Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment issued a notice a
bout soliciting opinions on new varieties of food additives as following, the deadline is June 2.
New variety of food flavor
2- Acetoxyl group-3- butanone can be used as food flavoring for different kinds of food category excluding the food category in GB2760-2014 B.1. Maximum quantity of usage according to production requirements.
New variety of food nutrition fortifier
L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate calcium can act as food nutritio
nal fortifier, can be used in formulated milk powder (excluding milk powder for children and pregnant women) (2000μg/kg ~ 5000μg/kg) and solid beverage (600μg/kg ~ 6000μg/kg).
Expand the scope of use and dosage of food additives
β-cyclodextrin, other candy except gum-ba
sed candy (tablet candy only), maximum usage can up to 15g/kg.
Propylene glycol alginate can act as thickener, emulsifier, and stabilizer, used in Fermented flour products, bread, cake, stuffing in baked food and surface paste, other baked food, maximum usage can up to 5.0 g/kg.
Phosphoric acid (wet-process) can act as processing aids (clarifier), used in sugar manufacturing.
