The Ministry of Agriculture is Soliciting Opinions on Maximum Levels of Pesticide Residues
At the end of September 2017, according to the “Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products” and other relevant provisions, the Ministry of Agriculture organized to formulate the “Maximum residue limits for 71 kinds of pesticides including abamectin in food (exposure draft)”, “Maximum residue limits for 59 kinds of pesticides including benzovindiflupyr in food (exposure draft)”, “Determination of glufosinate-ammonium residues in plant-derived foods Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry method (exposure draft)” and other national food safety standards. Public opinions are hereby solicited.
The exposure drafts issued at this time are mainly the supplements for the pesticide residue limits in GB 2763-2016, which further fills the shortfalls in the provisions of pesticides residual limits in China, and stipulates the test methods of pesticide residue limits in plant-derived foods. Foodmate reminds that the enterprises exporting plant-derived foods to China shall follow the formulation of revision dynamic of pesticide residue limits and their test method standards in time, carry out comparable inspections for their own products and suppliers combining with the standards and timely formulate the response measures to avoid losses caused by pesticide residue in unconformity with our standards.
