According to the statistics, the major unqualified item was excessive residues of pesticides and veterinary drugs, involving 19 batches of food, which accounted for approximately 50% of the total unqualified foods. Other unqualified items were excessive use of food additives, microbial contamination, etc.
In addition, 12 batches of unqualified food were found to be sold online, on 3 online platforms: Taobao (4 batches), Tmall (3 batches) and JD (5 batches). The rest 26 batches were found to be sold offline.
