MOA | National Genetic Resources Directory of Poultry and Livestock for public opinions

On April 8, 2020, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs publicly solicited opinions on ‘National Genetic Resources Directory of Poultry and Livestock’ (Draft).   

The draft has proposed as edible species the 18 traditional forms of poultry and livestock including pig, cattle, zebu, buffalo, yak, gayal, sheep, goat, horse, donkey, camel, rabbit, chicken, duck, geese, turkey, pigeon and quail, alongside with 13 special species, namely spotted deer, red deer, reindeer, guinea fowl, pheasant, francolin, mallard duck, ostrich, mink, silver fox, blue fox and raccoon.

The deadline for comments is May 8, 2020.
