Ecuador’s “Universal” reported on July 18 that recently, Ecuador’s National Aquaculture Association Chairman Camposano stated that new sanitation and epidemic prevention regulations for shrimp exports to China have been formulated, including: Firstly, COVID-19 investigation and detection are arranged for workers, infected staffs will be immediately isolated until the nucleic acid testing is negative; Secondly, strictly inspect the outer packaging of Shrimps to prevent the COVID-19 surface contamination; Thirdly, process the disinfection of containers’ outside and inner surface.

Camposano emphasized that shrimp companies have been following the above-mentioned sanitation measures before, and now they need to be further strengthened. He hopes that China will see Ecuador's efforts to resume the normal export of Ecuadorian shrimp to China as soon as possible.
