From July 27 to August 26, 2020, the State Administration for Market Regulation solicited public opinions from all walks of life on the "Measures for Food Labeling Supervision and Administration (Draft for Comment)". The opinions solicited this time mainly focused on "genetically modified food", "zero addition", "production date and shelf life date", food name, "multi-address labeling", "imported food labeling" and "food ingredient labeling".

On September 19, The Ministry of Commerce issued the Provisions on the List of Unreliable Entities, which shall take effect as of the date of issued. These Provisions are formulated for the purpose of safeguarding state sovereignty, security and development interests, maintaining a fair and free international economic and trade order, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises, other organizations or individuals. Foreign entities referred to in these Provisions include foreign enterprises, other organizations or individuals.

On September 5, Chinese food additive and ingredients association solicits opinion on "National Food Safety Standard, Food Additives, Sodium Starch Octenyl Succinate", "National Food Safety Standard, Food Additives, Beta Carotene", "National Food Safety Standard, Food Nutrition Fortifier, Vitamin K2 (Fermentation)”, the deadline is on September 25, 2020.

★MOC | Solicit Opinions on the Use of Disposable Plastic Products★

On September 22, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) solicited public comments on the "The Measures for Reporting the Use and Recycling of Disposable Plastic Products in The Commercial Field (Trial) (Draft) ", and the deadline is October 11, 2020.The commodity retail places mentioned in these Measures refer to all kinds of supermarkets, shopping malls and trade markets that provide retail services to consumers. The term "disposable plastic products" as mentioned in these Measures includes non-degradable plastic shopping bags, packaging bags (including woven bags), coiled bags, non-degradable disposable plastic lunch boxes, plastic tableware (knives, forks, spoons) and plastic straws. The specification standard of disposable plastic products shall be regulated by the relevant national regulations, and the scope of disposable plastic products shall be dynamically adjusted according to the relevant national regulations.
