On November 12, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of South Korea issued a draft of the "Implementation Rules of the Special Law on the imported Food Safety Management". The main amendments are as follows:

1. The spicy cabbage in the kimchi category must be compulsorily applied to imported food HACCP standards.

2. The conditions and procedures for certification, change certification, and extension of validity period are stipulated.

3. The methods and procedures of investigation and evaluation are stipulated.

4. Provisions for the cancellation of certification standards for violations.
