★NHC | Announcement on 6 kinds of “three novel foods” including β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan★

On April 25, the National Health Commission issued the announcement and interpretation of 6 "three novel foods" including β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan, and approved β-1,3/α-1,3-Glucan and other 3 novel food materials, among which the recommended consumption of β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan is ≤ 3 g/day, which is not suitable for infants, pregnant women and lactating women.

★Interpretation of GACC on the “Administrative Regulations on the Registration of Overseas Manufacturers of imported Food of the People's Republic of China”★

On April 26, the General Administration of Customs issued relevant interpretations of the " Administrative Regulations on the Registration of Overseas Manufacturers of imported Food of the People's Republic of China", which involved the implementation of the "Food Safety Law" on the registration of overseas food production enterprises that export food to China; the introduction of the risk management principles of the "Food Safety Law", further enhance the effectiveness of registration management; further tighten and consolidate the main responsibility of the enterprise; further strengthen the supervision during and after the event.

★Interpretation of GACC on the “Administrative Measures on import and Export Food Safety of the People's Republic of China”★

On April 26, the General Administration of Customs issued the interpretation of the “Administrative Measures on import and Export Food Safety of the People's Republic of China”, which involves implementing the requirements of the Party Central Committee, the State Council and relevant laws and regulations on further strengthening food safety work; summarizing major food safety incidents and responding to the epidemic, especially experience in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, improving risk warning and control measures; consolidating the comprehensive and deepening reform of customs, the in-depth integration results of customs inspection business and law enforcement experience; optimizing and integrating the regulatory structure of customs in the field of food safety supervision.
